Pros

Competitive Salary, better than average benefits and can be flexible with work hours and telecommuting.

Cons

Some upper management are in the dark, management by numbers doesn't work, the onsite work environment is stressful.

Middle and line management need regular management training made available

    I have been working at Verizon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Strong benefits, ability to make good money if you are consistantly in the top 10% of sales. Innovative and forward looking company. Ability for promotion with consistent hard work. If you a top preformer you have the decretion to dictate your work style, habits, manage your busy and relay on management for assistance rather than oversight

    Cons

    Overall customer service is lacking, however slow improvements have been taking place in the past 2 years. Work environment is rather poor. If you arent a consistent sales rep hitting quota micro-management is implemented. High turn over rate because "new employee" training is extremely poor. You absolutely have to be a self starter, no exceptions

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide a more enjoyable work place & adequate training to new hires. Eleminate the comission cap. Offer greater than 10% raise for inner-company promotions.
