Good benefits, salary, job stability not so great

IT Manager (Current Employee) Silver Spring, MD

ProsGood benefits and competetive or better salary especially the more years you have ... In IT for 25 years, there is room for advancing through different jobs such as programmer, project manager, release manager or program management but becoming a manager with reporting people is much harder - good work life balance most of the time unless you are a tester or developer

ConsLots of reorganizations i& budget cuts in IT lead to RIF's of good hard working people, contractors go first - atleast 2 RIF's per year... must be on important programs where funding and focus is placed...outsourcing is an issue.

Advice to Senior ManagementOverall good experience with management, more transparency is needed though

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
