I have been working at Verizon Wireless
Pros – Verizon offers a lot of extra perks besides a nice paycheck. Tuition reimbursement, paid time off, matching 401K, etc. It is a great place to learn about the telecommunications industry, to grow professionally and personally, and is very invested in the development of its employees.
Cons – There is a lot of emphais on performance so if you don't do well with constant feedback and competition then Verizon is not the place for you. The only other thing that would be a Con is the office politics. It isn't near as bad as most companies, but there are definitely a lot of self promoting in order to get recognized and move up in certain departments.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep listening to employees and they will keep producing for you.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
