I worked at Verizon Wireless

Pros

Flexibility in time off (flexes permitted each month)
Reasonable vacation time with tenure with company
401(k) match
Health & Dental fairly competitive
Cell phone plan 50% discount given

Cons

stress, conflicting levels of experience for supervisors, extremely performance agreement goals / measurement making it very difficult to achieve what is expected, continue to add work to original job description and use the new job requirements as cause to rate performance, i.e. I accepted a small pay increase from Customer Service Coordinator to Tech Support Coordinator and sales was added as a performance objective to a mostly technical position.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better supervisors who actually know what they are doing.

    Pros

benefits were good. that is the only thing i can say good about the place.

    Cons

the management is terrible. they are constantly firing people and getting new people. the managers don't know what they are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

do a better job retaining your employees. the environment is very toxic with all the negativity. most employees want to get out of there. they are stuck until they find another job.
