    Pros

Benefits are good. Comission is decent but steadily declining. Network is the best with out a doubt.

    Cons

Micromanagement at its finest. You are watched the minute you walk in the door to the moment you leave. Not a lot of individualism encouraged. They train you to sell a very specfic way and you will role play to death!!! Many managers try to motivate you with fear. Constantly reminded that you will lose your job if you don't pick up your sales. A famous line the all love to say is you will be "promoted to customer". Hours are long. Schedule varies every week. It is never steady. You work a lot of nights and weekends. Not at all family friendly. If you don't hit your quota you are put on a PIP program. On PIP long enough and you will be fired. Many sales reps scam the system to make numbers look good so if you do things the right way it may actually work against you believe it or not. Such a large company it is very political. Managers are pretty much "yes men". When new procedures or sales techniques are sent down from corporate they are implemented without question. Even if they are not productive or not effective you are to do them regardless. Managers rarely will question upper management. Most employees who work in retail hate VZW and most who work on corporate side love VZW.. A very big disconnect between the two. VZW is converting a lot of sales reps to customer service reps. Seems like that is the trend. Commisions are much lower now that the last couple of years.

    Pros

    -Decent pay
-Incentives to show up, yearly bonus
    -Outstanding benefits
-Decent vacation and personal time allotment

    Cons

    -Inconsistent management
    -High turnover rate
    -Career progression is extremely slow
-Performance metrics will make you crazy
    -Heavily monitored
-Hours and days off are not desirable, especially starting off

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like they actually matter and make a difference. It's too easy to feel like a seat-filler when the only thing management cares about is performance metrics.
