I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than a year)

Pros

The pay and benefits are great! Hours are not extremely bad considering how much money you will make. Networking possibilities are endless!!

Cons

If you have small children you will not see them often. Verizon is not exactly a family friendly company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice: Hold on to the good people you have instead of backing management who were probably a mistake to begin with. It really makes you miss out on potentially amazing leaders! And enables trouble areas to remain trouble areas. Old dogs, new tricks!

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

potential career advancement, flexible placement options and transfer options, pay reflects your level of effort

    Cons

Company cares more about customers then bottom level employees which, although probably necessary, is demeaning and disheartening. Also, customers can be absolutely wretched and infuriating, but you must cater to their needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make lower level employees feel like more then a number
