Pros

Overall Verizon is a good company to work for. They have excellent benefits, decent schedules (expect a little overtime however), and great commission pay. There is room for advancement and great training programs to help you.

Cons

Upper management can be very belittling and the job is very stressful. They change their commission structure frequently, sometimes a couple times a year. If you're not good in sales then this is not the job for you.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team environment, Constant training to make sure that you're up to par, Supervisors that genuinely care and listen, clean and up to date facilities, friendly and fun environment. Excellent benefits package 401K and Full medical from day one. An attendance policy that's not too rigid.

    Cons

It's almost impossible to get promoted even if you have top notch skills and experience. One get's the impression that they already know who to give a position to and the interview process is just there to fulfill a state/Federal requirement. It's not unusual to hear of people interviewing for a position over ten times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great job but a little more visibility and interaction with employees. Take time to listen to what they have to say.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful benefits and incentives. Received 50% off of monthly bill for myself and my family (up to 5 lines). GREAT training program and sales initiatives. Able to renew personal contract after 10 months rather than 2 years.

    Cons

A few of the Management employees were highly unprofessional and don't represent the company well. Their systems could be updated to help employees be more efficient and less stressed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Maintain professionalism with employees.
