I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Advancement within the company after 12 months.
You start as a sales representative, then with 12-24 you become an assistant store manager then a manager. Then you can advance to any avenue in the company(sales&marketing,I.T., etc..)

    Cons

The sales goals are very high for the most expensive service in the industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more hands on with new hires. Some managers are the best I have ever had and some are over there head and take their stress to the employees. Verizon should use some of the month long training in store.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I work with some really great people. Professional but also fun atmosphere. Competitive and always opportunity for advancement. Performance based!

    Cons

I have heard it is difficult to get hired. Quotas are sometimes unattainable. Constantly training. Some of the initiatives seem pointless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always make the time to check in once a week with every employee. Be approachable, not intimidating. Check your ego at the door.
