I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Organized, detailed, great training, good benefits and plenty of commission opportunity, if you are willing to sell customers features that they didn't necessarily need.

    Cons

Hampered by lack of managerial support sometimes due to creative marketing that brings customers in without the full range of details regarding a sale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower your sales team more to right-fit customers and not just increase the bottom line.

Great, reliable, and profitable, but increasingly greedy company.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great pay, great education tools, tons of resources to accomplish job.

    Cons

Shifts vary greatly. Becoming very greedy. Excessive amount of goals and numbers to meet. High levels of pressure and stress to meet quotas and numbers. Goals keep getting harder and harder to meet. Too many items to focus on. For example: accessories, phones, tablets, mobile Internet, connected devices, small business, home services, new lines, revenue, upgrade renewals, non contract devices, customer service, tech issues, warranty issues, no trouble found devices, customer satisfaction, edge program, etc.
