I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, career opportunities. IF you work on the b2b side you will have a much better experience. Better hours, better managers, overall its better.

    Cons

High stress, poor strategic vision, zero work life balance if you work on the consumer side. It was commonplace to see an ambulance come to work and take someone out. It was so common people didn't even bat an eye at the occurrence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat direct reports with more respect. Involve them in more processes as it will help gain buy in. Talk of do this or you're fired is not acceptable.
