I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time for more than a year

    Pros

your commission check is what you make it, despite the things you have to sell that don't make you any money.

    Cons

poor work/life balance, quotas get raised every month, device troubleshooting/customer service issues can take up time on the sales floor, micromanagement.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good benefits, good bonuses, shift differential, Sunday differential, tuition reimbursement

    Cons

Cutthroat coworkers, shady sales practices by management, inconsistent quotas, pressure to sell customers things that they don't want, management lying to customers about cost of accessories elsewhere, management lying to customers saying that Verizon will not support any Verizon product bought at an indirect location. I had to take FMLA because my son was stillborn and my wife became very sick after that. And I was written up for not meeting quota. I got a developing because of this and got a lower STI for the year. Upper mobility stinks!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your management team often will lie to customers to get them out of the store if they're going to upgrade to a non smartphone or not purchase any accessories.
