I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time for less than a year

Pros

Excellent and extensive paid training - that's really the only positive. You get paid (albeit, not much) to sit in a classroom for 7 weeks. If you get hired by them I would use that time to make money while you look for another job. Being a CSR for them will suck the life out of you. Oh, you do get a great employee discount on VZW phone plan

Cons

Pay sucks, schedules suck, as a CSR you are FORCED to sell things, customers are rude, never a break between calls, horrible morale

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't push numbers so much...be more supportive and provide more coaching rather than criticism

Negative Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Fantastic culture and they really do everything possible to maintain a wonderful reputation. They really care about their employees.

    Cons

Extremely competitive industry. Once you make it off the front line its extremely difficult to get promoted. If you are willing/able to move anywhere in the country at anytime that does make it a little easier and they are typically great about offer relocation assistance in many situations (but not always)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company really invests in their leadership (really they invest in all employees.) While the base pay is not all that great, the benefits, bonus and training they provide does help to make up for it some :)

I have been working at Verizon Wireless part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Verizon Wireless is a good company to work for because they provide school tuition reimbursement, matching 401k. It is fun and always changing atmosphere due to the technology is constantly changing.

    Cons

Verizon Wireless processes tends go be boggled down with red tape.
Is a fly a you go making decisions with no manual.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to be more involved in helping implement process improvements.
