Good place to learn, but....

Engineer (Former Employee)
Indianapolis, IN

I worked at Vertellus Specialties

ProsVertellus is a great place to learn as a new engineer. Engineers are given a variety of tasks and a lot of freedom to work on projects. Average 401K matching, good dental and vision insurance, and average health insurance.

ConsThe middle and senior management works the engineers very hard, with the expectation that you will work 55-60 hrs a week with little recognition of your efforts. Raises are minimal, no bonuses for salary employees (although hourly employees are bonus eligible) and the only advancements are within manufacturing supervision.

Pros: Senior Manage continue to grow the company through acquisitions. Cons: Outside resource considered over current internal resources. More
