I have been working at ViaSat full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

A nice location and a beautiful campus.

    Cons

Position I was extensively interviewed for and was offered was not the one I was given. My title and responsibilities were changed on the first day!
Horrible office politics and constant micromanagement.
Goals changed often and often contradictory and counterproductive. Excessive workload.
Focus on blame (placed on lower level employees, often to cover up management mistakes).
Standards and Practices well established, but enforcement is lax (depending on position in company).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please ensure that the position you interview and hire an employee for is the one he or she is given.
Make sure goals are well defined.
Make sure standards are enforced for all employees (not circumvented or ignored because of title or position).
Hold managers accountable for their actions.

I worked at ViaSat as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

People there are very friendly and love to play basketball and volleyball on campus.
CEO Mark Dankberg is also a really nice and down to earth guy.
They have a central break room called the Roast House with free coffee and snacks.

    Cons

None that I could think of.
