Pros

Great corporate culture, fun work environment, interesting projects, great philanthropic activities (Viacom Day).

Cons

Cliquish!! People are not promoted based on their skill set, knowledge, and professional capabilities. Most are promoted based on who they know.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to see who is best qualified for the position. Stop putting "friends" in positions they are not qualified to do.

    Pros

its a lot of who you know and how you schmooze, office politics abound. Also the benefit package is the best I've ever seen _ take full advantage .HR needs constant calls (they are dealing with a LOT of employees) but keep after them and get what you deserve.

    Cons

hard workers are for the most part ignored. but it is a good place to learn your chops and move on to a smaller place. Its very easy to get lost and go unnoticed, so make some noise, and get noticed!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

treat the grunts better - they are the backbone of your business.

    Pros

Big company, opens doors, resources theoretically available. Everyone knows where you're calling from and will take the time to visit and pitch.

    Cons

Stifling environment rife with ethical dilemmas and quandries. It's a place loaded with unrealized potential. The HR people are a nightmare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ventilate this place. Poke holes through senior and middle management and let the communication flow. Stop making dumb big purchases and then nickel and dimeing employees to make up for it.
