Pros

The atmosphere is always exciting, everyone who I worked with or for was friendly. Overall the management is knowledgeable plenty of opportunities to advance in the department if you meet the qualifications.

Cons

Long commute from downtown San Diego, and long hours on holidays.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue with the ongoing training as it really helped my customer service skills.

    Working with Tribal Members can be disheartening. Some supervisors do not seem well trained in their profession.

    You cannot hire qualified personnel by paying minimum wages when compared to other casinos,

    Pros

    Nice benefits. Surprisingly decent pay. Good/supportive team members. Opportunities to grow. Fun atmosphere.

    Cons

    Harsh work schedules. NO flexibility whatsoever. No loyalty to team members (25+ yrs of work to be let go in a heartbeat). Fake smiles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Mainly to UPPER management: Treat your employees well, work with some of their needs. If you take care of them, they will take care of you. Don't take them for all they've got.
    We're called TEAM members because we should be a TEAM. Without one or the other, the business can't run, so treat your team mates well.
