    Pros

Virgin Atlantic has a reputation as an innovative company in the airline industry. The brand name is well recognized in and outside the industry and the products consistently win awards. People join for the company's reputation rather than pay.

    Cons

The US office is essentially a sales outpost of a UK-based company. There is a low degree of autonomy and no transparency into decisions made in the UK. Senior management in the US has no formal business training so the company often feels like a family-run small business rather than a professional organization that's been around for 25 years. It's operated as such since it was founded so I don't see it changing unless they replace the senior team. Turnover in certain departments is very high because of this.

    Advice to Management

C-level executives should spend more time in the US.
