    Pros

Great patient care. Great respect for people and their ideas. Embraces concept of lean thinking and puts it into production. My team and I can put our ideas into practice without beuracratic red tape. Wonderful place to work at every day. Some of the best leadership I've ever worked under.

    Cons

Infrastructure a bit dated, but most hospitals face this. Some staff have been around too long and have a sense of entitlement. Need a better performance management system.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a real performance management system in place - we need it.

    Pros

Great People and Values. The foundation of VMMC is built upon Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence and Service. The heart of the organization is for the patient and the whole system works to create innovations for patient care. Best patient care in Seattle!

    Cons

Due to the non-profit environment, resources for departments that do not generate revenues are limited. Physical facilities and resources are challenging. Parking is non-existent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Parking and/or transportation services should be improved or offered to increase patient satisfaction.
