No amount of tolerance for risk taking means that everyone spends their time anlyzing and making decks, and very little developping the business. Competence is displayed only by vetoing ideas not by developing new ones.

Executive management is more interested in politics, turf war and rapidly increasing their options holding than creating lasting value. As a consequence fear permeates the place.

Advice to Senior Management

Compare what apparatchiks promised in their decks with what is accomplished, and remove the ones that year after year come back with nothing done. Bring back accountability.
