Too Formal

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Accept change more enthusiastically, don't just talk about it
Lead the industry in innovation, don't just ride the wave of cash coming in...eventually it will end.
Be more enthusiastic during your business conference calls
Spend more money on your employees, as great as your benefits are you are flush with tons of cash, give more of that to the people who make it happen every day.
Make your HR department more friendly and less about entitlement
Do more in the communities where you have employees
You're too formal, relax and have fun!

Excessive, prolonged success leads to the lack of Hunger needed for Innovation

I have been working at Visa Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

An environment where there is an excess of knowledge, tools, and opportunity.

    Cons

The Pros above have blinded the organization's ability to recognize value, without the ability to prioritize investments and focus on the road ahead. Many have been promoted through the environment for putting out fires that they themselves have set. Value is only recognized as protecting what Visa has... not reaching (and risking) for what it could become.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Innovation cannot come without a clear vision, nor taking risks no one else in your industry is willing/able to take. It also cannot come ignoring lessons of the past, and dragging them into the future. If something is broken, don't address the symptom and promote the one who applies the best bandaide. Figure out what caused the problem, and promote the one who ensures the mistake will not be repeated.
