Pros

Good benefits and vacation time which accrues from first day
Flexible working schedule
Good pay if targets are hit

Cons

Some staff have too many responsibilities
Changing direction of company

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mangagement could use a little more focus of direction of company and ensure there are enough staff in upper management. Otherwise a great company with a good work / life balance.

I worked at Vivonet full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    -Teams try very hard
-Individual employees are very intelligent and have a lot to share. Good place to learn and expand your skill set

    Cons

-Direction is lacking from the whole company
-Constant shifts of focus and general feeling of confusion
-Blame comes up very quickly any time something goes wrong

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick a direction and work towards it. The CEO is a very strong motivator and can take the company far but, with the current management structure, the company is falling apart from the top down.

I have been working at Vivonet full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

a lot of really great employees.

    Cons

Really long hours, no recognition for contributions, extreme boys club mentality, company instability due to financing issues, your suggestions or recommendations are not appreciated and can put your job in jeopardy.

They introduce you to the CEO making you feel very special and welcomed to the team but in fact he is the snake oil salesman who closes the deal for Halo. They have been masters at recruiting excellent candidates only to have those employees disenchanted after being there only a few months and really seeing that this is a company that needs to get its act together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop pretending to know what you're doing. This company is in need of true leadership in order to succeed. You can't just keep financing your way out of debt. Get managers who care, who listen and appreciate their employees for all the dedication and long hours that they put in. Open your minds, you may discover that the employees that are still there may have something valuable to say to you to help you succeed. Put your fragiles egos to the side and listen.
