Volt Information – “The only agency with jobs availible

Volt Information Microsoft Web Developer in Redmond, WA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

It is hard to review the staffing agency that got you your job. Volt was the only staffing agency who bothered to try. Almost all of the staffing firms in the area would call you in for some interview and then you'd never hear from them again. Volt never called me in for an interview, yet they were the only agency who consistently had me applying for Microsoft jobs. Every interview I had with a Microsoft group was through them--not a single other agency had anything. Eventually, they found me a very nice job in a very nice group. The only drawback is the 100 day annual break, but this isn't the fault of Volt.

Cons

Their medial plans are subpar. They inexpensive, yes, but you either get to pick a plan that has you paying 40% out of pocket or a plan that has you pay almost nothing out of pocket, but has an annual maximum benefit of $10k. You are better off getting your own individual health care plan from one of the local insurance companies--though it would probably be fairly expensive if you are older or have a family.

Advice to Senior Management

Provide better benefits to your contractors. Make sure your recruiting staff can explain them in detail.
