I have been working at Volvo Trucks as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Good learning experience. Friendly people.

Cons

Hagerstown is a sad place to be. No housing benefits or assistance for the interns. $18/hr is a low salary

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Housing assistance should be provided for the interns

    I worked at Volvo Trucks

    Pros

Volvo trucks offers a lot of opportunities to advance and move within the company. There are tons of nice people here and I enjoyed my job.

    Cons

I was not a big fan of the Greensboro area. I had a hard time finding things to do on the weekends and the summers are really hot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More programs to connect people in the company and allow for more social interaction. Overall a great place to work.

    I worked at Volvo Trucks

    Pros

Very stable job, and can be easy to grow. Relatively easy with time. Good benefits if you become a full time employee, and good vacations

    Cons

Could be very boring. The location, in my perspective is terrible. Very boring town, and the communication is not great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get an MBA, or work there for 5 or 6 years plus. Take on many project leader roles, and learn about the products.
