    I worked at W. R. Grace full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

401K matching, benefits, work from home (sales), company car, cell phone, laptop, expense account, ability to set your own schedule.

    Cons

No upward mobility, no middle management for mentorship/advancement roles, impossible to get raises, lacking in corporate communication, no technical training or sales meetings (maybe once a year), lack of technical support. The sales force/management is an "old boys" club.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire middle management. Hire more technical support. Have sales training. Get out of bankruptcy!! They have been in chapter 11 for over a decade.

I have been working at W. R. Grace

    Pros

    Good pay.Work is not hard.
Stable even through tough economy. Always hiring.
There is an importance put on safety by upper management.

    Cons

Good Ole boy network. Do not promote from within. Many in middle management have been put in jobs that they are not qualified to do. No diversity at all. Many things are hidden from corporate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All engineers are not a good fit for every job.
