Current Employee – been working at W.W. Grainger full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Industry leader in the MRO market, Best there is in supply chain management to insure customer has what they need when they need it. Noone better in driving costs out of customers operating budgets through competitive products and no cost value added services, Understanding the customers business goals and objectives and developing a true business partnership is the cornerstone of what Grainger is all about
Cons – Being relevant to your customer base often results in additional initiatives and increased hours on the job, Maintaining a life balance can be challenging. Not necessarily a con--more of a challenge
Advice to Senior Management – Great progressive and forward thinking from HQ. A very bright and insightful team.
Great ideas can get misdirected or diluted when filtered through less experienced regional and district level positions.
Increased local presence by ULM and skip level discussions would help in insuring that the spirit and intent of the companies intiatives remain the same from originator to customer
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
