Equal opportunity

CSA (Former Employee)
Sunnyvale, CA

I worked at W.W. Grainger part-time for more than 10 years

ProsGreat benefits and decent pay. Even with a GED you can work here. Great place if you are looking for a part time job.

ConsNo real opportunity for growth. What they say at hire is a total lie. Company will never have your back, high chance of getting fire.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou need to find better managers. There is not really a fare OPPORTUNITIES for GROWTH. Some of us have been here for over 10 years and is still a part timer. A lot of back stabbing and micromanagement. Mangers need people skill. Only reason I come into work now is because of my pst, if for not that I would have quit already.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Potential to be amazing with the right people.

Account Manager (Current Employee)
Las Vegas, NV

I have been working at W.W. Grainger full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Many internal and external resources available to support sales acitivities. Excellent benefits including a profit sharing trust (PST) plan. Account managers also enjoy flexible schedules… Cons: The very same resources mentioned above can also be toxic and double your workload. Goals can be unreasonable and the company doesn't follow it's own… Advice to Senior Management: There needs to be consistancy throughout the organization. One market should run the same as others.
