Pros

Great co-workers (non-executives) Possibility of "great-ness" if they changed they way they ran things

Cons

Executives (mostly all Perrill's) are in it for themselves and don't seem to care for their employee's or value their input. Benefits are the worst out there by any company, they may as well not even offer them that's how bad they are. Their "big picture" mentality is always going to keep them from succeeding, exec's seem to expect to much and promise what they cannot deliver. "Key" management in certain area's are clueless as to what needs to be done or how to create successful processes.

Advice to Management

This company depends to much on the "higher up's" and not enough on the people who make a difference. Layoff's and firing's seem to be a staple in what your company is all about; which is a shame because if you gave people enough time you would be bound for greatness! Over my time there I have saw many come and many go. There are people who should have been offered incentive to stay, positions that were eliminated that were needed and would have made a world of good, and big layoff's in area's where they couldn't be afforded. In my opinion you hold on to some employee's because of "loyalty" (HR for example) when those hours could be cut. Because it's family owned you pay yourselves enormous salaries, when if you took a cut yourself you could keep some of those "key" people and not have to let others go. It is sad to say that this is not a company to work for if you are looking for stability as the sad truth is you probably will not last more that 5 months. I wish I had a better review of this company because they could do great things, but they always let the good ones with idea's go and never allow them to grow.

    Pros

Was a good place to get your "foot in the door" The company will probably grow, and improve in all of the cons, but for now and in the past... see below.

    Cons

Insanely high expectations for below average paid employees Little to no training for extremely specific knowledge requirements to do your job The feeling that you are about as useful as a peon working for a fast food joint No communication between management and lower tier employees (unless management has a problem with employees performance)

There have been many positive changes over the last six months - 1. New Leadership Team 2. Jeans day EVERY Friday 3. Employee Development and Training 4. Professional Certification reimbursement 5. Objective vs subjective employee measurements 6. NO time clock for exempt employees 7. New break policy 8. Advancement oppurtunities It's so good to see positive attitudes and happy employees. The culture of WAND has really begun to change!

    Cons

The building certainly has it's concerns inculding proper ventalation and leaky ceilings. A new buliding would be nice. More parking would be nice!

    Advice to Management

In today's virtual world it would be nice to have a telecommuting program. More then one employee entrance. Keep the positive changes coming.
