I have been working at WBB Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very nice work environment. New building, onsite fitness center, nice sized offices and conference rooms, free coffee. The office has a marble staircase which is nice to look at. Most of the employees are retired military (former commanders etc) so the average age is 55. Because of the culture of retired employees, the people here tend to be more laid back. They honor the values of loyalty and respect. As far as the work goes, employees are "self managed". I have not seen any micro managment in the least. There is the opportunity to work from home and create your own schedule if the project permits. Positive company culture.

    Cons

Some consultants are not getting enough "billable hours" so there is the threat of losing jobs. Employees often operate in "silos" so you may not know the project work available. Company went through lots of lay offs. Not alot of room for growth/promotion because of the military buddy system and losing contracts.

    Advice to Management

    Change or get left behind.

I worked at WBB Consulting part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good Upper Management team Straightforward approach Good Salary

    Cons

Recently cut benefits (less vacation, more out of pocket health costs, higher health premiums) Middle-management is unreliable No backbone as a sub-contractor when railroaded by prime

    Advice to Management

Back your people up. The middle management team, while being good people in general, don't back their people up when they're in a subcontractor status. They consistently acquiesce to the prime even when they have evidence that they should do just the opposite.
