I have been working at WGBH full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

The content, mission, quality of the products we build, the people, the fun vibe, work-life balance, autonomy, the support in having ownership of the work you do.

We're all pretty spoiled by getting to work with really rich, high-quality, and valuable content. Our impact is big. Not everyone in the web business can say the work they're doing is making people's lives better.

Cons

Its in brighton. You usually have to work within pretty tight budgets.

I worked at WGBH full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Love the rank and file.

    Cons

WGBH doesn't listen to employees when they seek out management to convey difficulties they are experiencing on the job. .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treating people as mere cogs is not the way to enhance the station's reputation. Many former employees who've left on their own have done so because they lost all faith in the organization. Management talks a good game, but there is no substance to what they present.
