Pros

This Company has a lot of advancement opportunities if you are willing to put in the time and hours. A lot of different places to work each day and a wide variety of different people to meet and become friends with. You are not stuck behind a desk all day, you have different accounts going on at one time, so different places to check up on. Each Customer is unique in their expectations, but great Customer relations.

Cons

The hours can be hard until a person gets used to it.

I worked at WIS International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You meet lots of retail professionals where you have an opportunity to get a job with them. No other pros.

    Cons

-Rotten and untrustworthy upper management on every level. They operate by constantly threatening you with your job. As an Inventory Manager your DM and DO will try to lure you into becoming an Area Manager by lying to you about every aspect of the position. All they want is to have scape goat to point the finger to.
-Work conditions are terrible. The hours you have to work are in violation with every labor law there is. WIS does not really have control over the start time of the inventory as the retailers try do conduct inventories before/after hours of operation. The wage limits/P&L goals set forth for you will allow you to only hire bottom of the barrel employees. Until 2012 WIS did not even run background checks on these very employees. You ended up with ex cons, drug dealers, drug addicts, degenerates and all sorts of other losers. WIS really tries to take care of their vehicles, but at the end of the day you end up with disgusting, scum filled vans because of the garbage people you have to haul day in-day out.
-Pay is a complete joke. As a salaried IM/AM you can easly put 80-90 every week while you get paid $30k. There are no raises for salaried employees. Your raise is when you accept the offer to become an AM and you subject yourself to the aforementioned work conditions. The AM position should be in the $60-$65K per year to be in line with the amount of work and garbage you have to deal with.
-You will travel 60-70% of the time unless you are in a metro area. At time you will have to get up in 1-2AM to drive for 3-4 hours to get to the inventory. Your management team will make every effort to abstain you from travel expenses/meals. You will most likely be forced to drive the vans vs going in your car and sleep an extra hour.
These are the main cons in my view although there are more worth mentions. I would not recommend WIS to anybody. The experience you get working for WIS is pretty worthless too. Try to stay away and keep looking for a better job. Cheers.
