Pros

The people are all intelligent, driven and committed to their jobs and the station. They worked to improve my reporting and showed me how to do reporting from the ground up.

Cons

The hours can be tough but that's the nature of the business. Unless you try to find opportunities in the station to work with people you will spend a lot of time at the assignment desk.

Advice to Management

Keep using the internship program to inspire new students to do reporting. Your reporters and anchors are great mentors for interns and being out in the field is the best way to learn.

    Pros

The people are open and very cut throat. Teaches you how to grow tough skin and still be able to work well with others whom annoy you.

    Cons

Not much room to advance. Production assistants are offered training days but it's slim and few times that they promote from with in.
