    Pros

Systems and products were strong. Benefits were good

    Cons

Bureaucracy, Getting things done was difficult. Mediocracy was celebrated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In your rush to centralize functions, don't "dumb down" jobs in the field. Your customer-facing people know the client base the best. Give them the authority they need to look a customer in the eyes and do what they need to do to get the job done.

I worked at Wachovia full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I had a great boss, then she went to a competing company.

    Cons

Wells Fargo's way of doing things was very different from Wachovia. Wachovia cared about their customers and employees, WF has pushed their employees to sell, sell, sell. You will be fired if you do not hit your sales numbers forcing employees to sell things to customers that they don't need so they can hit their numbers and keep their job. Sad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop bullying your employees.
