A pleasant work environment with some good people

    Financial Advisor (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at Waddell & Reed full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Depending on the managing principal and your own personal level of production, you have flexibility to manage your business the way you want. The company… Cons: Not for those who want complete independence like an LPL company. Their compliance department is frustrating because policies will changes based off of whose eyes… Advice to Senior Management: Have compliance come up with some efficient and advisor friendly… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

A small company compared to the competition with opportunities based on sales expertise

    Financial Advisor (Former Employee)
    Tacoma, WA

I worked at Waddell & Reed as a contractor for more than a year

Pros: Good training, conservative values, with room for advancement. There are no boundaries as far as territory goes that would otherwise limit where you… Cons: Commissions and compensation in general is lower than the competitions'. Marketing efforts of the companies' products are heavily dependent… Advice to Senior Management: With a small company like this, you don't have to have so many chiefs and so little Indians. If you have production issues and concerns… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
