I worked at Waffle House full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Once you are employed by Waffle House, you can have a long career.

    Cons

If you have to quit because you moved to another city, it is impossible to get a job at another Waffle House in Tennessee

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If an individual fills out an application at your store and has almost twenty years experience, look at their application and give them a chance. Don't give them "made up" excuses for not hiring them. They know how to find out the real reasons.

I worked at Waffle House full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discount on food. WH provided the motivation I need to finish my education.

    Cons

Managers do everything! There are no Asst. Managers. Mangers are responsible for that monster 24 hours a day. There are no holidays off. Not even if it falls on your rotating off days. The higher ups like to come in and show you all the things you do wrong. Joe Rogers came in and set the stove on fire and let me another manager trainee to put it out. The employees steal and don't show up for work and your penalized. You have to come in every Friday and Saturday night at 9pm for shift change. Which eliminates any weekend family outings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you cant find anything else to do and your hungry, work at the waffle house.
