I have been working at Wag Hotels

Pros

The dogs are great. Communication is open and the boss always has her door open. Everybody has fun while working.

Cons

Expected to work weekends and holidays. Watching dogs can be boring. It can be hard work: there's lots of sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, picking up poop.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You've got to be the one's cheerleading everybody, all day long. Sometimes management gets low on energy and look like they don't want to be there.

    *Approachable managers/staff
    *Praise from seniors
    *Definite team effort
*Thoughts are acknowledged/listened to (plans for specific dog, concerns, etc.)
*Managers/Supervisors do the same work as guest services/client services (ADP if needed)

    Cons

*Set training program not in place for ADP
    *High staff turnover
    *Hours (part-time)
*Schedule posted 1-3 days before end of previous schedule
*Expect to work holidays & weekends
    *Slow/Outdated Computer System
*Can be stressful as different dogs require different things (more correction, high energy groups, etc.)

*Set training program for All Day Play (safety, specific dog training/commands, specific procedures, cross-training, etc. )
*Required individual team meetings for specific departments (ADP, GS, CS)

I worked at Wag Hotels part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Sweet dogs, lots of puppy cuddles and some insurance coverage

    Cons

Downright mean staff, no employee regulation (some employees get to do whatever they want, others are fired on a whim) and unfeeling management. High pressure, minimum wage. Wouldn't recommend.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
