I have been working at WakeMed Health and Hospitals full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

do not have to work weekends in some departments.

Cons

Management is unprofessional, bullying, threatens employees, never has anything good to say about an employee that is not their favorite employee, sneaky, vindictive, unfair, discriminate, treat you like first graders as though you know nothing, hostile, constantly making up new rules outside of wakemed's corporate policy, always conspiring behind your back trying to find something to write you up for if you are not their favorite employee and if they have a bad day they take it out on you! Some managers have been there for years & gets aware with mistreating employees while upper management covers up the misdoings. They stressed the "WakeWay Policy" they do not follow or adhere to. If you report them to HR they cover up all negative claims banning up with the reported manager you file a complaint on and reprimand you instead with level 1 or up disciplinary action. They try to force you to quit by making your life miserable daily while working. They will act very friendly during the interview & the first 90 days of you being hired. Then watch out from that point on it's downhill. Some managers force their employees to make complaints about a fellow employee that the manager wants to get rid of & if you do not say something negative then you are on their hit list in addition said managers still add your name to the complaint when trying to state their case to their direct higher up manager or director.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

We are human beings not morons! You do not have to draw arrows, diagrams, circles, underline & highlight everything to explain a simple example. Upper management & HR needs to stop covering up all of the wrong doings to employees by managers. Some managers need to be replaced and all management need to be reprimanded for their wrong doings, bullying, retaliating, unfair treatment to employees & be held accountable for constantly violating policy instead of being rewarded & able to keep their position in management. There should be polls or a way for employees to report managers without being threaten, jeopardizing their jobs, fired, retaliated against & claim taken seriously. Upper management should allow employees to submit reviews on their direct managers & all claims should be review by HR as well as a level higher than directors to avoid the complaints being brushed under the rug & nothing being done to reprimand the managers. Any upper managers &/or HR should be held accountable for all coverups.
