    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    (Small) employee discount.
Starting wage comparable to similar jobs at similar companies.
Very good at promoting an 'open door' policy to allow employees to talk about concerns.
Encourages an enthusiastic attitude to increase morale.

    Cons

Wage increases are few are far between and average out at .30/hour depending on employee evaluation.
Walmart is not at all flexible for working hours. If employee has a second job, that job must work around Walmart's hours.
Training is extremely lacking and employees are often thrust into jobs without proper knowledge of store policies.
Walmart is very wasteful. They promote their "For the Greener Good Campaign" yet lots of perfectly good merchandise is thrown in the dumpsters. Makes an earth-conscious employee very frustrated.
People are promoted based on what's convenient for the store. Those that are fanatastic at their jobs do not necessarily get better jobs. Sometimes they like to leave people in roles where they currently do well, which isn't fair.
Management often disagrees with interpretation of store policy.
Full time is only a minimum of 28 hours/week which is what management is told to try to stick to for scheduling.
There are so few employees many times due to budgeting that customers get angry and begin to take it out on cashiers when they have to wait in long lines.

    Advice to Management

    Promote those who deserve it.
    Be more open to suggestion.
Be in agreement about store policy and promote the same ideas.
Spend more time training employees to ease some frustration.
Allow employees more flexibility to hold a second job.
