Walmart was a good experience, and the people there are very pleasant to work with.

Pros

Walmart is a great company to work for. Being a cashier is fast pace when It gets busy, but It keeps you occupied! Express is especially fun, and the people there are great! They have great managers and there are always opportunities to move within the company.

Cons

They push for mastercards, and working on Belt as a cashier can get very tiring.

Advice to Management

Good Managers, and good management. Although, they can be a little less picky about paying overtime.

    Pros

The culture, originally established by Sam Walton, is still in effect today and a huge part of the reason that Walmart is a good company to work for.

    Cons

There is a lack of positive and helpful response from category managers and modular planners in Home Office. When one is striving for excellence and attempting to provide the best customer shopping experience possible, our hands are tied when we are receiving too much/not enough product or the wrong items for our community: We are then spending far too time on the correction of errors that are beyond our control.

    Advice to Management

Listen, respect and respond to enquiries and requests for changes to product types and quantities being sent to stores.

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    Pays slightly above minimum wage
    Lots of coworkers to befriend
    Easy work

    Cons

General incompetence from managers and coworkers

    Advice to Management

Treat associates with respect and explain why you want your associates to do desired tasks instead of using the "because I said so" mentality.
