Pros

the pay is above min wage and people working there are friendly, big lounge area lots of hours

Cons

hard to switch out of a position you are in breaks are not given on time if you are late you are penalized you also get in trouble if you count till wrong, slow at cashing people out, don't sell master cards, talk on the job

Advice to Management

Overall I liked working there until the new management came and ruined the whole experience they treated the employees like robots and nothing more. They are the reason why I left. Since they came alot of other people also left.

    Pros

10% discount on instore and online purchases is handy. Field positions get a company car, and a lot of flexibility to come and go as you want.

    Cons

"every day low cost" means re-using binders, pens, pencils, phones, chairs, laptops etc until they are broken, and then keep on using it. The corporate culture is 'small town southern USA' and if you don't fit, you are blackballed. Fixing items at the home office is not done - water coolers, air conditioning, washrooms (no hot water in one of the men's), carpet gets taped down.

    Advice to Management

    fire my coach please!

    Pros

has some excellent programs and benefits in place. Very progressive company, with yearly reviews and raises.

    Cons

the basics that Sam Walton had put in place have been forgotten

    Advice to Management

The principal of the "Walmart Family" has become disfunctional. There is too much favouritism and thinking of the bottom line and individuals no longer matter. The WORDS are there to say you care but the ACTIONS are not.
