I worked at Walgreens full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - If you are willing and able to work any shift at any time (as well as take all the crap Walgreens will throw at you) then your job is likely to be pretty safe. Walgreens loves employees who are available to work any shift (as long as they don't have to pay you overtime). Besides, they HATE training new people so they would much rather keep the people the have (just work them half to death)!

-Walgreens has alot of Employee Perks such as discounts for just about anything you can think of (mortgages, car loans, cell phones, amusement parts, computers, child care, etc)

    - The day you leave Walgreens for a better job and realize that if you could survive that, you can survive anything!

    Cons

    Everything!!!

    - Lower pay compared to other techs in the field
    - Very very poor management
    - Overworked Pharmacists who are always cranky as a result
    - TERRIBLE work/life balance!!!! If you need to be off or God-forbid you CALL off due to an emergency, expect your job to be headed towards jeopardy! Only thing Walgreens care about is you slaving for them!
    - I've seen Walgreens take part-time people off of the schedule because they are over budget and have no hrs to offer, but then when that person applies for unemployment due to lack of work, Walgreens ALWAYS fights hand over fist to deny their claim!! I've seen it happen time and time again!
    - There are countless other cons, so many its hard to even put them in words!! Furthermore, I'd rather forget my awful time with the company quite frankly!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Getter better management!
