Pros

Nice managers, 15% discount, company that is large and cares about its employees, easy job.

Cons

Customers can get testy, but as long as you stay polite and professional its fine. I had a lot of rude co-workers who hated their jobs.

Advice to Management

Hire people who actually want to be there, not surly people who seem just smart enough to stock a shelf

    Pros

It;s a job, something someone needs, even if it is minimum wage.

    Cons

A LOT! I do mean so, they abuse employee's, over insurance which is actually a bait and switch since they don't honor their policies. Harassment is common. Inner politics run the store, not quality of performance. Will deny employee's their rights, and have performed several illegal activities against their own employee's such as denying overtime, payroll fraud by altering the hours you worked without notice, and often making them less than what you actually worked. Refusal by company to scrutinize and discipline corrupt management practices. This wasn't always the case, it used to be nice fledgling company that liked it's employees, but once it started growing rapidly, they cut corners for profit and in ten years became another abusive Walmart type company. You success and growth in company went from being your hard work, to instead, kissing higher ups butts, Example, one manger wanted to train me to be promoted, but new manager came in never offered it and discontinued training, he is replaced by another manager who offers friends and family work and authority, but immediately downgrades me for not be a brown nose. It's very rare to find a good manager in this company, at least in New Jersey.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employee's nice, and don't let politics ruin your store, harms moral, harms trust, and though you might make an extra dime with some of the methods as evident, you'll pay for it in the end as eventually you will be constantly understaffed with lower quality, resentful, and overly rebellious employees. Be fair and honest, that's all employee's need.
