Pros

flexible hours, decent pay, decent benefits

Cons

occasionally a rude customer will ruin your day, but you learn to get used to it.

Advice to Management

Managers need to spend more time working and less time "checking" on you every 5 minutes.

    Pros

Lots of customers tend to be loyal, so you learn who they are and are happy to see them over and over. But this same thing happens anywhere, and was much better at an independent store I worked at while in school.

    Cons

Incredible pressure from corporate level. Terrible metric watching. Literally forced to annoy every single person with about 5 different things to talk about. Most employees don't do everything, but if the district manager was standing right there wed be in deep trouble if we forget to ask if you've had your flu shot! They are putting a stop to pay raises, decreasing employees hours, and expecting us to do even more.

    Advice to Management

Everyone, including customers, will be happier if you treat the employees better. Customers can sense our unhappiness. It comes out whether we try to hide it or not.

  2. Hard work, long hours

    Pros

Great pay. Lots of room for advancement.

    Cons

Hard, physical work. Extremely long hours. Hit and miss management.

    Advice to Management

Well-educated managers will not work for quasi-illiterate district and regional managers.
