No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Walgreens full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

flexible hours, decent pay, decent benefits

Cons

occasionally a rude customer will ruin your day, but you learn to get used to it.

Advice to Management

Managers need to spend more time working and less time "checking" on you every 5 minutes.

I have been working at Walgreens full-time

    Pros

Pay is very competitive, benefits are ok, job security if you perform well.

    Cons

Not enough help, cost cutting is too rapid which is contributing to low morale and increased complaints from customers about poor service. Also, opportunities to move up out of service clerk positions are harder to come by now, and even if you make it to the Shift Lead position, you will be used and abused, and have little chance of moving up past that.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what is going on in each individual store, instead of assuming every store in a particular "region" is the same. Do more frequent anonymous surveys to get a feel for employee morale and how you could increase it.

  2. Working at Drug Fair was a very positive experience.

I have been working at Walgreens part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can advance very quickly in the company. I started out as a cashier and was promoted to front end supervisor within two months.

    Cons

Hours are sporadic for part time employees. Breaks are only 10 minutes long, and lunches only thirty.
