Walgreen

Assistant Manager (MGT) (Former Employee)
Wilson, NC

ProsThe pros are that you have the chance gain the knowledge to information needed to be successful in management. With the right upper manager as a guide there are chances to progress if you have a love for retail and love the business aspect of.

ConsWorking in holidays, transfers without your input, the company has become more sales driven. The company seems to put a lot of pressure on its employees to meet several goals that sometime are not realistic and can be very annoying and irritating to the customers.

Advice to Senior ManagementIs to learn your employees habits, good and bad. Discipline accordingly. Bring the company back to the family -oriented company that it use to be and not so sales driven and impersonal.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
