I have been working at Walgreens part-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I have found no "PROS" to working for this company it just keeps getting worse every year and I cannot seem to leave this job

    Cons

    Managerial favoritism
    Under–qualified managers
    Salary cuts
was told by corporate that they will not hire store level employees to corporate positions
    will not promote from within
    laziness
    uncoordinated operational plans
    I can keep going...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) hire people that have some level of business knowledge to manage, neither my store manager nor DM has a college degree.

    2) listen to employees that have experience on your front lines, don't just sweep their ideas under the table.

    3) treat your employees better if you want them to work "for" you, not just work, employee morale is so low that no one actually cares and just goes through the motions.

    4) IF THE STORES HAVE TO BE OPEN ON HOLIDAYS CORPORATE SHOULD BE TOO.

    5) once again i can keep going...

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
