I have been working at Walgreens full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Have had some very nice co-workers over the years. This was once a very stable and happy place to work. Since the initiation of Rewire for Growth, which is just a nice way of saying that there will be terminations, it hasn't been the same.

Cons

Extremely low morale in the IT area. Unstable environment with upper management continually changing directions with outsourcing, off-shoring and reductions in force. Very unhappy environment for employees over the last 5+ years and steadily declining. It may just be the nature of the field now, but what was supposed to promote collaboration and streamline projects has only added extra layers of bureaucracy and created an incredibly toxic work environment. There is very little incentive, other than having a job, to continue employment.

I worked at Walgreens full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

They promoted education for advancement in the company. They recognized a good employee and tried to develop them. They believed in good customer service through their employees. Great benefits. The company has never been in debt.

    Cons

I don't have any negatives. Their just has to be a twenty word minimum. So I am just typing to fill space.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The upper management(District Managers) do not respect the value of a conversation with other employees that are not store managers.
