I have learned more about working as a team in one year as a sales clerk than all of my years in college.

Pros

Walgreens is a family. You will make life-long friends with your co-workers and grow as a person. It is extremely satisfying to consistently see customers leave the store happy and healthy.

Cons

Since Walgreens is a smaller store, not as many people know about it. Consequently, depending on where the store is located, there can be very few customers in the store at times.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Walgreens is doing a fantastic job at preserving the neighborhood-friendly atmosphere and stellar customer service.

    Pros

There are some good people who work there

    Cons

Management is disorganized and only looks at formal education for advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look for good workers who don't have college degrees, but a wealth of experience and common sense that can't be taught in a textbook

I have been working at Walgreens (more than an year)

    Pros

There is not one good reason to work here is you are over the age of 40. Go elsewhere.

    Cons

If you are over 40, do not expect to get promoted. Do not expect your hard work to be recognized. Do expect write ups for every little thing. Do expect a bad review no matter how hard you work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue. You can't keep treating people like you are, and stay in business.
