I have been working at Walgreens full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Benefits are good. Schedule is usually pretty flexible.

Cons

Corporate is out of touch with their stores. The pay isn't what it should be. Five sick days in a calendar year (seems too little, especially if you have a young child).

I have been working at Walgreens full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

change is good - learning is good - requesting time off is good - eliminating many slackers was good too -

    Cons

Corporate messes with the store employees work responsibilities when they have no idea what it takes to work in a store.
pay cuts - capping pay - eliminating position titles just to cut the pay.
Advancing people just to fill the position when they have no idea what they are getting into is sad - for they really do not care for the company as many of the people that were let go or quit did.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't lie to employees just tell them straight out what you really want of them. And if they choose to advance themselves don't mislead them to taking tests and going through interviews when you knew they were not even qualified to advance. Let them know 1st off as to what they need to learn, quit playing games with peoples lives.
