Was great 15 years ago, steadily went downhill after Randy Mott (CIO) left

Network Engineer (Former Employee)
Bentonville, AR

ProsIn its day, there was amazing innovation at Wal-Mart. Because of the size of the company, you knew you could make a big difference in the world.

There was nothing like Wal-Mart for learning how to work 'in the large'.

ConsEvery time something bad happened, additional process was added to compensate. After many years of this, there's a lot more process now than anything else.

It takes forever to get anything done. The process is insane.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou can't outsource heavily and continue to innovate. And you have to innovate faster than your competition. Mr. Sam said that. You have forgotten that lesson.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
