It was not too bad of an experience, definitely lays the foundation for a career somewhere else.

    I worked at Walmart

    Pros

It was not that bad of a place to work. If you go into Walmart as a college student, try to land a job that is somewhat close to what you are majoring in. The experience, especially if it is in your degree area, looks very good on a resume.

    Cons

If you are not in school, expect to work, work, work with little or no direction from upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to lead by example more often. A clear chain of communication is needed so that instructions from upper management are accurately communicated to the workers. Workers want to know why they have to do what they are doing.

I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

Best place for growth if you dedicate the time and effort also great benefits packages if you are full time.

    Cons

Management in general. Turn over rate is truly ridiculous. (here today gone tomorrow). Everything is dictated through management and if you have a bad manager or supervisor everything that goes wrong falls back on you. In alot of cases almost no holidays except for Christmas day. No overtime. Horrible under staffed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do a better job at who you select to work for the company. Also there needs to be a change in a lot of corporate policies that are in place. Also have enough staff so you don't always have to depend on one person to do three peoples jobs.
