I'm very pleased with my co-workers, less so with some policies.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Quarterly bonuses are great. There is a great sense of friendship between most associates. Reasonable attendance policy, as well as open door.

Cons

Walmart has the reputation with people that if you throw a big enough fit, you can get what you want. Some upper management, such as home office, seems out of touch.

    Advice to Management

they need to go back to treating there employs like it was a family company and not a corporate control business.

    Pros

I have some pretty decent benefits; the one I am most excited about is my 401(k) - 100% vested from day one, and they match up to 6%. Also, you really have to work hard to get yourself fired from there.

    Cons

Everyone has the possibility of working on the holidays, unless you randomly have that day scheduled to be off. And you can get some real doozies for customers, especially around Christmas.

    Advice to Management

Quit consolidating sales departments! I have 5 departments, and a large seasonal burden during back to school time.
